A little less lonely
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if you are an introvert or an extrovert. Everyone wants to be around people at some point. People can be exhausting and hard, but we also need people. We Need love, affection, to be heard and listen to others. But how do we deal with this?
To be less lonely we will have to take risks. You have to send the text or place the call. You have to invite people and buy food and throw a party. You have to go to the barista and ask for their number since you have the same humor and you need more friends. It takes risks.
Having a friend in Jesus also requires risks. You have to trust him. You have to accept his peace. His kindness. You have to be vulnerable. You have to risk feeling pain to receive healing because talking about the hurt can hurt.
You’re not broken or dumb for wishing for friends that care or hear you. We all want that. And it can be hard to find. That’s why you have to talk to others, you have to set boundaries with some and you have to step out. Finding a club at school or church or the local places you go to will help.
You are not alone in this. You are broken. You are worthy. You are loved. You are enough as you are. You can do this.
