Hard work

There’s a quote by Thomas Edison that states, ”Opportunity is missed by most people because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like hard work.” How much do we miss out on because we are afraid of how hard we will have to work? Depending on your personality and your exhaustion level you might answer differently.

Today I am here to encourage you in your situations that if you want something it’s time to put the fear away and say yes to the hard work. If you are easily overwhelmed I would say take it one step at a time.

“All you who fear God, how blessed you are! how happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you’ve got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Soak in the goodness!”

“Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! Come back, God—how long do we have to wait?— and treat your servants with kindness for a change. Let your servants see what you’re best at— the ways you rule and bless your children. And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!”

It can be easy to grow weary in your circumstances. Rest, and breaks help us to keep clarity. So when work gets overwhelming and dreams seem out of reach, remember that what you reap is what you sow (Galatians 6:7), if you sow hard work and prioritize certain things that speak to you, you will reap your reward.
