How to love
In jobs where you are constantly around people, clients, and customers it can get pretty frustrating. Whether there’s miscommunications or people being upset it can weigh on you if you are an empathetic person. Learning how to love people who demean you, talk down to you or just blame you for something you don’t have control over can make you hate people. This is a constant feeling in retail and other customer service related jobs.
So how do we love people when we want to hate people?
It is easy to let anger take over. Talking about it in healthy and respectful ways takes that weight off your chest. Find people or journal so you can get those negative emotions out of your mind and heart.
God sees that you want to love people. He sees that you do. Sometimes we as people take things too seriously. We think that one misstep causes our whole life to tumble or be a mistake. It’s not. You just have to hold on and accept the grace that God offers you. You can make a mistake, forgive yourself and anyone who’s affected by it and move on to the next step.
Don’t let the hurt hold you back. Sometimes all you can say is sorry and move on.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22: 37-40 NIV.

Challenges and questions:
Have you been trying to love others? Does it feel like a failing battle? What does God have to say to that? Spend some quiet time with worship and/or journaling and ask God what you can do or what else he says.
