Keeping your hope
There’s been some crazy things happening. It feels like hit after hit of disappointment. Sometimes nothing goes the way we think it will. Sometimes it feels like nothing is going right.
It can be hard to put our trust in God during these times. But that’s the best time to trust in him. If we have conditions on our trust, is it true trust when it comes to God?
When it’s hard to trust that means there is fear holding you back, fear of what’s to come. So we must hope have hope.
Hope is important. What you place your hope in is most important. Looking at what has disappointed you, you can see what you have placed your hope in. Placing your hope in Jesus will not disappoint.
You may think, uh girl? I don’t believe in God anymore because X, Y, and Z happened. You have to look at what you actually placed your hope in. Did you relinquish control over to him? Or did you give him propositions and they didn’t come to pass?
God wants whats best for you. Sometimes we think we know what’s best and we place our hope in it.
“God please let me get this house!”
BOom it gets bought by another person.
That was my plan not God’s.
God wants to give you your hearts desire, but we must align our hearts with him through relationship.
When your needs are being met by the God who created you, your desires will be different.
So let’s reevaluate our hope today.
Is there anything you need a change of perspective on?
