Love, love, love

Everyone needs love. It’s true that love makes the world go around. Kids who are neglected struggle when they are older, just like animals and adults in relationships where love is not present.

Love is important. And guess what? Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God and love others. It’s what we’ve been called to do on this earth!

Secular love can be draining because that kind of love can be self-seeking (it isn’t always but it can be). A self seeking and self fulfilling love is not sustainable. There is a God shaped hole in everyone’s hearts and if you try to fill it with anything other than the love God has for you then you won’t be fulfilled. You will always be searching for something to fill you up.

If you have dealt with trauma or abandonment that does not define your lovability. You are lovable because you are valued and cared for by God. You are lovable because you are you. And guess what? You are enough!!

There is a healthy love out there for you. Whether it’s platonic or romantic, there is a healthy, selfless love out there. Sometimes the best kind of love comes from a best friend, a mom (adopted or birth).

Making every choice out of love is something that can change our world! Love does not make you weak! Love makes you stronger!

You are worthy of love! You are worthy of life! You are enough! It’s okay to let go and let love in!!
