The God who fights for you
If you are feeling down and out recently, have no fear God is there! Sometimes we are too weak to deal with our current situations because we have been fighting on our own for way too long. We aren’t meant to live our lives alone so that means we don’t have to fight on our own. God had been fighting your battle for you. He’s been protecting you from battles you have no idea have occurred. The battles you can see will be taken care of as well. Jesus fought the ultimate battle. Jesus has beaten sin so that we may live with him for eternity. When you feel alone…

Winning the war with yourself
Some days it’s hard to move. It’s hard to get going, to work or eat or take care of yourself, let alone anyone else. Some days it’s not easy to be you. Today felt like one of those days. It was a crawl back in bed and not get up unless I have to day. It wasn’t just the sadness weighing me down, it was something else too. A part of me didn’t want to try. I was given some wisdom, to spend time with God. But I didn’t want to do that. It was too hard to even try. So I fell asleep. The importance of sleep has probably…

Keeping your hope
There’s been some crazy things happening. It feels like hit after hit of disappointment. Sometimes nothing goes the way we think it will. Sometimes it feels like nothing is going right. It can be hard to put our trust in God during these times. But that’s the best time to trust in him. If we have conditions on our trust, is it true trust when it comes to God? When it’s hard to trust that means there is fear holding you back, fear of what’s to come. So we must hope have hope. Hope is important. What you place your hope in is most important. Looking at what has disappointed…

Faith in the hard times
This year has been full of surprises. Full of let Downs and Pain. There’s been good too. Sometimes we have to search for the good things. Through the bad we must have faith there will be good again. It may take some time. The world never revolves around our clocks. Today, the bad weighed heavily over me. I couldn’t feel anything. I left destruction every where I went. So I stopped and cried. “God please forgive me for not having faith at this moment.” That’s what I said. God doesn’t leave you just because you’ve given up it you’ve given in. He sees you where you are and meets you…

Getting your fill
Living in a COVID filled world we deal with loneliness often. Whether you work somewhere where you interact with people or you work by yourself, it can be pretty lonely. We have six feet between us. Some go by these guidelines and some don’t. But there is some sort of disconnect here. The best moments of this “quarantine” are the ones where you can see your loved ones. Sometimes it’s by facetime and sometimes it’s face to face. It’s so special to see them and get filled up. Even introverts need their fill of affection and attention. Being by yourself is hard. But the good news is you don’t have…

Jealousy and forgiveness
Jealousy is a slippery snake. It can come along quietly and wrap its lengthy body around your heart and choke you out. One of the ten commandments says not “you shall not covet,” and that means that you won’t desire what is not yours. Jealousy as a kid or teen can look like wanting a toy or wanting a relationship or something like that. But as an adult it can mean wanting a spouse like your friend does or having a great desire for money. When I have felt jealous it has stemmed from a place of unforgiveness and comparison. Forgiveness is so uplifting. When you forgive, weights and burdens…
