Taste & See
“Taste and see that the Lord is GOOD!” Psalm 34:8. There have been days the past few months that you could say “I’m not tasting anything! NOTHING is good!” That is valid. If you’ve felt that way recently, you are valid. Crappy things happen a lot in life. It can be hard to see the good. Especially with an “invisible” God, it can be hard to “see” the good in moments of trouble. If God is invisible what am I supposed to be tasting? I say invisible because it can be hard to see God. Where’s my blessings?
Recently, I’ve been talking a lot about trusting God through the hard times. I’ve said it’s important to fight for your life and love. Which is true, but maybe you’re just plain tired. Maybe you’re at the end of yourself and you’re thinking, “Where is my blessing at?” “I’m a good person.” “I’ve done everything right.” “Why is everything going wrong?” Is that you? Are you scared and hungry for more, more goodness, more sweetness. Something that is easy to catch. I’ve been listening to Elevation church’s Holly and Steven Furtick. Joy despite the circumstances
Today we need JOY! Today we need to have HOPE! Today is your day for BREAKTHROUGH! Today we will claim the good! No matter what we are going through we can know that God is on our side. Let’s claim joy today. Circumstances have been tough lately but God is good. God is the same today, yesterday and forever. Just because situations change, it doesn’t mean God does! God cares for you. He cares about your wellbeing, mentally and physically. Today let’s take a deep breath and trust what he says is truth and is good.
